Our areas of expertise include state-of-the-art diagnosis and management of vascular (circulatory) disease. In-office non-invasive vascular testing is available, and we provide the most advanced techniques in diagnostic angiography, vascular surgery, endovascular interventions, and vascular access. The needs of renal failure patients are met with our active programs of dialysis access and kidney transplantation, led by Dr. John Colonna, Director of the Sentara Renal Transplant Unit.
Our surgeons are internationally recognized experts in vascular surgery, transplantation, surgical education, and vascular research. All surgeons are faculty members at Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) and are actively involved in the advanced training of vascular fellows at EVMS under the leadership of Dr. Jean M. Panneton. Our physicians hold medical staff leadership positions in area hospitals and are actively involved in the administration of vascular and surgical services in our community. VTS surgeons are helping to advance the field of vascular surgery by conducting clinical research projects in partnership with several major biotechnology companies.
The group's surgeons see patients in our offices in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Hampton, Suffolk, and Nassawadox. Our surgeons and staff have active privileges at all hospitals in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Hampton.
